This isn’t as extravagant and lucrative as the startup ecosystem appears today. This is a notion for those who do not want to contain themselves in the so-called and ‘defined by others’ terminology of entrepreneurship. Again, this is not all about billion dollar valuations, capturing market share, up scaling gross merch andise value or such other phenomena that outline the conventional digital startup l andscape.

Social entrepreneurship, as we call it, is a field for daredevils. Indeed, they aren’t devils and they do not dare to revolutionize the socio-economic sphere for their personal good. Instead, they realize the society we live in is to be improved and our acts have a bearing on other members.

Why then think of just a name for the company, register it with authorities, confine area of operations to only one field and provide opportunities to limited workers? Why be so mean when conceiving an idea that will bring us fame and material perks? So, the generosity inspired bosses, this is a field for daredevils like you, here come a few lines.

Information Technology is booming, despite all downturns and stagnation. The youth is attracted to the core to this mysterious sensation, all want to build their own Facebook-styled and Steve Jobs-inspired businesses. Rarely is anyone thinking of breaking the barriers, of overcoming the odds, and of being an entrepreneur of all, of being a social entrepreneur.

A conventional definition of social entrepreneurship would include ‘serving the society’, ‘running a philanthropic business’, and other similar sentiments.

Let us discuss the theme in a bit unconventional backdrop. If someone believes that setting up of an NGO or forming a Trust is what that constitutes giving to the society, we may be as off beam as was Donald Trump when he opened his heart out to Billy Bush. Do you want that? Do you want to be ousted? Let’s talk real.

A website or a mobile app that invites calls and messages from people who do not want to waste leftover food, and can connect them with hungry and impoverished households is yet another form of social entrepreneurship. As simple as starting a social blog, or commenting on the picture shared by a Facebook friend, there are a million ideas of this sort.

And it remains a field untapped, members of society including agriculturists, poor, orphans, women and street children await your special idea and its execution. Go, change the world!
