Today, let’s discuss five simple points that, if adhered to, can help students manage their studies well.

1. Be regular with school’s online classes

Online classes have replaced learning in physical classrooms, but it does not mean that it has also replaced sincerity and commitment by a casual approach towards studies. The teachers undertaking these classes are undoubtedly putting in heightened labours to ensure everything works smoothly. The onus is upon you to do your bit- being sincere towards attending online classes.

2. Follow a timetable

No, you can’t be vigilant towards your studies for a week and then revert to the same old habit of messing things up. To infuse consistency in your learning, stick to a timetable. And that’s easy. You know your strengths, weaknesses. The best part of this phase is you can opt for any time during the day to study, or even after your dinner. 2 hours a day or 6 hours; it’s upto you. But during this period, break away from disturbances, including social media and household chatters.

3. Choose your medium for extra guidance

A variety of apps offer interesting content. Unacademy, BYJU’S, Khan Academy and Coursera are some prominent names in this field. YouTube and Wikipedia also remain a good source. TED-Ed and CrashCourse are two YouTube channels that we strongly recommend for trusted content.

4. Stay in touch with friends and teachers

Stay in touch with your school friends, classmates and teachers. After all, they were a significant part of your lives until a few months ago.Have a group on any online platform and attending it at least once a day to discuss studies and other things. Know how your friends are coping with the current phase and we are sure that your teachers will give you some good and encouraging thoughts to keep you motivated. Staying in touch will also take away any stress you may develop due to coronavirus-induced isolation.

5. Getting more of what you lack

Utilize this time to make good any shortfalls. You may be weak in some subjects and the school classroom where only half an hour is dedicated to that subject may not have been enough. But now you have all the time in the world, only if you utilize it well. Why not look for interesting videos and podcasts on these topics online to make it engaging? You can also choose to increase your awareness about things that may not be in your current curriculum. For example, how electric vehicles are set to replace fossil fuel cars, how the battery tech is revolutionizing the current world?

You are your own master, a great, wise mind who knows the best way out to cope with studies during COVID-19 times. Trust yourself.
