The Bug called ‘Entrepreneurship’

It wasn’t any bug that bit the most influential entrepreneur known to the youth of today, Mark Zuckerberg. It was rather an idea, distinctive and with essential usability, which struck the mind of this genius and he created what we all use today – even more than news websites or Wikipedia – the Facebook platform.

You may have understood what this write up is all about – Not all ideas are capable of turning an individual into an entrepreneur. Many of these are bugs that in the contemporary digital l andscape and the fascination linked with it have bitten many young MBAs and even college drop-outs.

No, this write up isn’t here to let anyone feel down or disheartened. Rather the motive is to separate viable notions from unviable ones and the ones bound-to-fail from those that have some intrinsic capability and probability to make their way into the hearts of users.

When did every business turn into a start-up rather than being a new shop in the street, and when did every business man or woman turn into an entrepreneur? Ever thought when this wave or better be termed as a tsunami of startups overshadowed other streams like expansion of existing businesses or finding a job after pursuing masters in human resources and sales?

You may be clueless; you know who Steve Jobs was or what his idea was in the field of revolutionizing the design and utility of cell phones. You may also know about the founders and success stories of Twitter and Amazon, but what about knowing the underlying attribute that contributed to their success? We can bet that it wasn’t any bug that had bitten these exceptional minds in the night and they woke up as a Spiderman in their respective fields, overcoming all worldly obstacles with special powers.

What to do then? Here is the answer. You are all capable, have all the probabilities, and the so-called permutations and combinations to thrive, do not, however, let any bug bite you in the night, as an outcome of which you may wake up as a Spiderman-styled entrepreneur.

Success needs real and practical ideas, their justifiable conceptualization and execution. The bug of entrepreneurship wouldn’t make your idea acceptable or saleable; to give it the push you dream and to make it happen, dig in really hard, come out with something that can revolutionize the market and can fill the void between expectations of your prospective customers and the existing market. Wishing you success!
