Ideas can, and they do, pop up anytime, anywhere. When stuck in a traffic jam, you would think of ways the administration should divert traffic, control and penalize rule-breakers, broaden the road and hire more staff to control congestions. These are all ideas, you think of them, and then forget most of them.

What makes an entrepreneur different from a thinker is the possibilities, successes, failures that she finds in that sudden idea. But there exists one more precondition to achieving that glorious tag- An Entrepreneur. ‘Execution of the idea and ensuring its sustainability’ is that necessity which will define how good you are at entrepreneurial skills.

Let us take a real life scenario. Let’s borrow from what we just discussed – ideas that strike our innovative minds while we are getting late for home/ office due to bad traffic conditions. One of the ideas that would strike most common minds is broadening the roads and paving the way for more and more vehicles on the road.

Wait! Wider roads mean less space to public places and green area, it means more pollution, it also means clearing the roadsides of poor vendors and encouragement to the rich to buy more and more vehicles, dump public transport and finally, in a few years time, encounter the same problem of traffic congestion all over again.

The idea won’t work; it is a failure! No. What can make even this a feasible notion is how the individual plans the execution, how she studies the existing scenario in comparison to forecasted future, studies what the bottlenecks are, what are the prospects of success and indeed, ensure the sustainability of the project in the long run.
